Reliability and validity

A professional talent test must be both valid and reliable. The graphic below explains why:

The Talent Passport is both reliable and valid.

The real added value lies in the validity of the Talent Passport. After all, it is not that difficult to create a reliable questionnaire. That is why many test providers only talk about reliability.

Developed in collaboration with the University of Antwerp

The online questionnaire was developed in collaboration with the University of Antwerp (2011).

The psychometric quality of The Talent Passport is described in a technical report that provides the following information:

  • Reliability: based on Cronbach’s Alpha values
  • Construct Validity: based on Factor Analysis
  • Internal Validity: based on Distribution Analysis
  • Test-retest Reliability: based on Stability Coefficient

For all these measurements, The Talent Passport scores good to very good by the applicable psychometric standards.

Machine Learning

In 2020-2021, further research was carried out in collaboration with the University of Antwerp into the characteristic talents of a job (the talent DNA). Analysis with Machine Learning on the talent data collected over the past 10 years shows that we can accurately predict which job suits someone based on their Talent Passport results. This has been measured on real people in real jobs and is therefore additional proof of the validity of The Talent Passport.
